  1. Carrie Fisher’s statement about being a survivor and she has to keep getting into difficult situations to show off her gift made me think about the times depression or hypomania to extremes. I got knocked down a few times and got back up and did it well. Now, of course everyone expects the same immediate results, but this last depression knocked the stuffing out of me.

I also like Catherine Zeta-Jone’s statement, “There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help,” How I wish this message could be shout out to the world and the world would take notice. So many won’t seek help because of the stigma connected with mental illness.

    Good post.

    1. I always connect with Carrie Fisher. She is my bipolar idol. I’ve ordered a couple of her books for my Kindle and someday I’ll get around to reading them. Catherine’s is a great quote and is very similar to Jane Pauley’s.

  2. I definitely relate to Winona Ryder’s quote. Good days and bad days and the depression is just always kind of there. Yep.

    1. Yes. I’ve made similar statements here. Even when things seem to go very well, you can always feel it lurking in the background.
