Vincent Van Gogh – In His Own Words

For those of you who use the WordPress Reader, please let me know if you saw this post in your reader, or if you only saw it via email. I’ve been having technical problems. Thank you!

As you may know, I have a passion for Van Gogh. I’ve posted this video a couple times now, but I never grow tired of it because I think it’s so beautiful. It’s been three years since I last posted this, so I feel it’s past time to publish it again. I’m sure it won’t be the last time.

Let me know if you connect with this beautiful tribute.

    1. Woo Hoo! That’s great news. I’ll make sure I get more feedback before I let the techies off the hook, but I’ve already started my happy dance.

    1. I haven’t been showing up in the Reader since September 13. A lot of people have missed my posts. But its fixed!!!

  1. I got an email & your post popped up in my Reader too – hurrah!
    A beautiful video indeed!
This afternoon watch for my new vlog & brief post with our Lose It! appeal as always! 😉 Xo

  2. Hey there, also saw this in my reader, but I see others have already told you! Such a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing it. I find his quote about wanting to share what a “nobody” and “non-entity” had in his heart particularly moving. We don’t have to be a big deal in order to have a big heart.

  3. You showed up in my reader. Thanks for the video – that was awesome. I have a print of Starry Night in my classroom. Van Gogh is my favorite artist.

    1. I find his work amazing. We have at least a couple of museums here in LA that display some of his paintings and sketches. I cry every time I see them.

  4. Hi Bradley, this came up in my reader and email though it’s style in the reader was still a bit different 🙂 triple check with those techies please 🙂

  5. Ok Bradley (since no comments make you mad or is it sad?) here is my story: The lights were seized out here since 9:30 pm, and I had a post I so wanted published by 00:00 – so I slept with an eye open for when the lights returned. They did at 00:16 am, but the internet connection didn’t – I waited and finally maged to publish my post, and then well thought to hop around a little and check on some friends. I saw the email notif of your post and read it and went to my reader to find it and get back to you- then I droped the comment and thought to check out the video anyway – hoping my internet connection was understanding … it was and what a great video I watched … oh my VVG was one great soul indeed… thanks for sharing… it’s 01:29 am now and am back hopefully to zzz and the lights are still around hurray 🙂

    1. Wow. What a crazy night. Glad you enjoyed the video. I doubt I’ll ever get tired of it. Hope you were able to get some sleep.

I relate to Van, his mind created timeless incredible work. I have many favorites, all are highly regarded to me. I’ve been fortunate to travel around and always love to see an original. I love many types of are but always an Impressionist at heart. He could have periods of dark depression and disappear to a family members house. He suffered from a mental illness not known at the time. I also love Monet, Manet, to name a couple of artist.
Have a great day, I received your post via email, I rarely go to reader.
    🙂

    1. I love impressionism in general but have a special place in my heart for Vincent. I relate to much of his “madness.” Having studied him I can look at any of his work and pretty accurately tell what period in his life it was done.
