Weekly Wrap-up

Celebration

In case you missed yesterday’s post. This blog is now officially 8 years old! It’s been a fun ride and I plan to keep going.

Mood

One week I’m struggling with mania and the next I’m dealing with depression. I started the week feeling down and by Wednesday that all changed. I’ll spare you all with the details, other than say I was pretty depressed.
.

Weight and Fitness

I was proud of myself during the earlier part of the week, but by the time depression hit on Wednesday, I was a glutton. The positive part is that I still ended up losing weight. I don’t know how, but I did.

On Saturday, April 9 I weighed 264 lbs.
On Saturday, April 16 I weighed 262.6 lbs.
Total loss for the week: 1.4 lbs.

My goal this month is to lose 6 lbs. which means I need to lose 2.3 lbs. each of the next wo weeks. It’s definitely doable, but may not be easy.

Writing

Unfortunately, I didn’t get as much writing in as I would have liked, but most of the week that I tried made me feel like my head was splitting open. One thing I did accomplish was to create a new outline. I had one before, but I’ve made so many changes in the earlier part of the novel that I had to update the rest. Not really considered writing, but did get something accomplished.

I shared the last part of Chapter 6 with my critique group on Saturday and overall received a good response, but there were some changes recommened that I agreed with, so I’ll need to get those changed and then I’ll get back to Chapter 7.

Synopsis

The week as a whole was meh. Nothing good, but not so bad either until the depression hit me for those 3 days. I’ve got my shit a little more together today, so I hope that continues for the rest of the week. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
