This is an excellent Ted Talk by Guy Winch. I’ve never heard of him, but I sure like him. The video is 17 minute, but to me it flew by so fast that it seemed more like 5 minutes. It is definitely worth 17 minutes from your day.
Great speech. I shared it.
Great, Kitt. Glad you liked it.
makes it sound so simple and easy…but when youre down, its hard to even think of doing any of this.
I liked that he advocates to make mental/emotional problems as important as physical problems. Also, days like today when I’m feeling down on the scale, I believe it can be that simple and easy. However, you’re right kat, on those days when I’m under heavy depression, this video seems like it’d be a waste of time.
mental and physical should be the same importance. it was a good ted talk.
Thanks for sharing that. It was definitely worth the time and gives me hope that mental health will soon be looked at in a positive light. As the gentleman pointed out, there are preventive measured that can be learned and practiced to help everyone not just us.
I am sorry Brad. I was just checking old comments and realized I hadn’t added you back yet. I hope you’ve been well. I have been having a spot of trouble with Social Security, and am not handling it well. I know this has nothing to do with your post. Just wanted to let you know that I figured out how to follow your blog again. It is one of my faves 🙂
