Caption This – The Beginning
When I decided to start having a “Caption This” every Wednesday, I was certain it’d be a slow start. I was wrong. I’m thrilled with the number of people who participated. Despite my never being good at them myself, I’ve always loved these “Caption This” posts.
This weeks celebrity guest judges, Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, deliberated for hours with me behind closed doors. Choosing a winner was difficult and there was nothing more I wanted than to get out of there. Finally, after three large pizza’s and seeing the sun starting to rise, I was able to persuade the other two to agree with my choices.
The first winner of Crotchety’s Golden Unicorn Award is…
“Ronald Dearest” appearing in movie theaters this Summer.
Being a typical gay man, I love camp, and it doesn’t get much campier than a “Mommie Dearest” reference. There are two honorable mentions:
dearlilyjune for “He would learn the hard way that no one–not the Grimace, not the Hamburglar, not even Mayor McCheese–gets away with stealing Ronald’s red stripes.”
and Anxious Mom for “So, you think all this ‘minimum wage for fast food workers’ is nonsense, huh?”
Our next “Caption This” contest is scheduled for next Wednesday, but I’ll have plenty of blog posts in between.
I Need Some Help
Everyone knows I need a little help, but this ones not related to mental health. Since yesterday I’ve been unable to comment on anyone’s post. I type the comment and when I click on “Post Comment” it just vanishes. I tried this on numerous blogs that I read regularly and none of my comments posted. Has anyone experienced this before? Were you able to find a fix?
