The Sun May be Setting

Sunset

After ten years, and a couple of months, the sun may be setting on Insights from a Bipolar Bear.

Obviously, I haven’t been posting much lately. It looks like the average has been about once a month. The reason, as most of you know, is because I’ve been working on a novel. I made the decision to make writing a career. Not an easy task, but the focus and direction its giving me has been extremely healthy mentally.

One reason I may be closing the door on this blog is it feels like I’ve said it all. I’ve repeatedly described my experiences with depression, with mania, and when I’m having a balanced day.  For a while, when I was balanced, I did research studies on mental illness and wrote about those. I thought they were interesting, but they took a lot of time. Time I can’t afford these days.

Another reason I may be moving on is I’m going to be starting a blog about my writing, and I just don’t have it in me to maintain two blogs. The writer’s blog is necessary for promotion, and I need all that I can get if I want to make a living at this thing. The new blog isn’t up and running yet, but will be added to my website soon.

It’s not time to say goodbye. I’m still around, at least until the new blog is ready to go. Once that happens, and I do decide to move on, I’ll give ya’ll a heads up. I’m not ready to say goodbye, because this is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I do not exaggerate when I say this blog helped save my life.

Until then, I ask you to please follow me in other ways. Primarily social media. I also distribute a newsletter that goes out approximately once a month. I’d hate to lose touch with so many of you.

You can find me on…

Facebook Group

Instagram

Website (where you can subscribe to my newsletter and find my blog)

Thanks to so many of you who’ve followed me for years. I’ll be back soon to let you know my final decision.

  1. I’ll feel sorry to see you go, but I understand how you can only spread yourself out so far before everything suffers. You are making wise and necessary choices. Your website looks great – very professional! Please let us all know when you start your new blog. I wish you all the best, Bradley.

    1. I’ll let you know when the new blogs up. There’s still a possibility that I’ll be hanging around here if I choose not to create a new blog. Wait and see for now.
